I decided to go with this kit instead of using wire to hang a large mirror; product came as described.The process to hang my mirror went about like this:1. Measure 1/3rd of the way down from the top of the frame and place the d-ring brackets facing up2. Center the d-ring bracket appropriately and mark the frame (I used a phillips screwdriver and a light tap with a hammer; a marker would work fine also)3. Drill a shallow hole on these two marks; make sure to use a drill bit a little bit smaller than the supplied screws4. Secure d-ring bracket with the supplied silver screws5. Measure from d-ring to d-ring to determine the distance needed between the two gold brackets that will be nailed to the wall. Mark this with a marker, charcoal pencil, etc6. Determine placement on the wall, line up the bottom of the triangle on the gold bracket with your mark; use a hammer to secure both gold brackets to the wall7. Use a helper to hang the mirror/picture on the d-ringsThe gold brackets have a little bit of depth to them; my mirror hapened to hang against the wall leaning slightly forward. Not a big deal but I did place a folded piece of cardboard behind the frame to have the mirror straight. I may replace this with a piece of foam tape or something similar in the future.IMO much easier/safer than hanging wire; this was an inexpensive and sturdy way to hang a larger painting or mirror.
