I used these tools to change out a bottom bracket on an older Canondale MTB. The socket and chain wrench worked great, and I was able to change out the wheel cassette just fine. I didn't use the wrench to turn things, as my 1/2" ratchet fit the socket. I am really happy wiht the tools overall, and think the set is a geat value.

If you are looking for a high end cassette socket and chain whip that will be used ten times or more a day, then I recommend looking at Parktool. But if you are cyclist just looking to add to your toolbox or just change your cassette it is great. I've used all of it except the bottom bracket wrench, every time had no problems. The cassette socket has no bite markets on it even from removing a very overtightened cassette. For the price it is a great deal.

The tool is very handy, having two in one makes it easier to store but at the same time the handle is relly awkward to hold so making forcw with it can hurt your hand

For one, if you use any type of tool to make a living with, don’t cheap out. If you have any kind of mechanical knowledge and/or familiarity with different brands of different tools, you can feel and tell these aren’t top shelf (obv). I don’t own a bike shop nor change cassettes like clothes, but surprisingly the remover hasn’t rounded out. The chain on the whip itself was much bigger than a traditional 10-11 speed chain, but it held it fine. My biggest gripe is the handle on it, which also has the bottom bracket wrench on the opposite end. Sometimes I feel like holding the sprockets in my hand would feel more comfortable than it. Put a rag between your hand and the tool, especially if it’s really tight. If not, then god bless. The “grip” on its slides and is on the harder side. (That’s what she said). Anyways, for now, and then jobs, it may suffice for you. Just be careful with soft metals such as aluminum bottom brackets. The teeth will dig into it if you don’t keep it straight and go slow. (She also said that).Update: As the old saying goes ”Buy once, Cry once” id suggest you just purchase a chain whip from Park Tool and don't look back. Once you hold/use a Park Tool’s chain whip, you'll immediately see that you do get what you pay for In its quality.Not to mention it'll out live this one by decades.

Mainly I like the price. IMO, Parktool is way overpriced for tools you may only use occasionally. I also like the fact that for the price, this is a very complete set of tools for working on multi-speed derailleur equipped bicycles.

As others have said, this tool is just fine for occasional use. I have used it 3 times for removing cassettes and once for dealing with the lock ring on a very old Schwinn bottom bracket. Each time it has worked perfectly. Good value for the money - will last me for years.

Excellent tools for the money they are getting. Don’t expect to use these daily in a shop environment, they just are not quite that level of quality, but for the average and occasional user they will work well and probably last a good while.

I've been trying to fix my bike for awhile now so I ordered these tools to remove my cassette to put it on a new rim because the old one been. I received the told today and immediately started work. The sprocket removal tool was slightly to large, there for I couldn't complete the repair. There's also a part of the chain whip that is bent that prevents proper finished on one of the advertised 3 in tools. I personally would look into purchasing better tools from another manufacturer. These were a complete waste of time and money.
