Easy to install and use. Works great! When we bought our new tv we were unable to use our old school sound surround system, this has enabled the use of it once again! When you go into your tv sound settings, keep sound output at "tv speakers " and you can use both tv and surround sound speakers. I had to go to "expert settings " to find the option for "PCM", and that's the setting you need to get something other than a static sound. Great product!

I needed something really bad until I get equipment the right equipment.this little device allowed me to plug my optical output from my TV to the input of a wireless transmitter that goes to a amplifier that runs conducers or soundshakers in theater seats. Soundshaker are transducers they make your chairs shake according to the action in the movie or even the shake to the bass in music. Even your video game chair. There was no way for me to hook up the sound shaker amplifier to the wireless transmitter until I got this product. Thanks

Fantastic product works perfectly as described. Using this for a PC set-up w/a Gaming motherboard that has SPDIF out. I have major hearing damage beyond 8k, but i can definitely notice MUCH cleaner sound coming from my Studio Monitor (self-power) speakers * * * * * very easy! great product!!Just converts the SPDIF to Analog as you will need amplification. a sound card or built-in audio will in no way have enough. Self Power speakers or 2 Channel Stereo amp (analog-in) & yes they make small amps (only a little larger this this VinTeam DAC converter)

Box added noise to the sound. But cables worked. Not worth the effort sending back. Using cables only.

Just as described! Works great in combo with my tv and outdoor speakers. I’m able now to play Pandora on my tv and blast it out to my outdoor space by the pool!!!!!

I had removed a Comcast cable box and decided to fire Comcast. By removing the Comcast equipment, it left me with no surroundsound anymore and had to call an expert to tell me that I needed a special device in order to restore my system to what it was before removing cable box. Apparently a Comcast cable box has the ability to turn analog into digital. Don’t ask me why.

Different modes on your tv digital audio out. Must be on the correct setting or only static will come out. No problem with volume. Again check your tvs audio output settings and the device you are connecting to. Check and try different settings

Everything works well, just the volume on the device is quite low you have to crank up your audio stereo

I came with all the cables to hook it up.But the volume is not great .My surround sound system only has about half the volume it used to have.
