Gorgeous High Quality Stands

I just got me a pair of the Denton 85 speakers and these stands are THE perfect match for them. They look really elegant with a different look. I thought these stands were going to be cheap and flimsy but I was very wrong. They are really well made and super sturdy. I am more than happy and the price is not bad at all.

Perfect speaker stands

These stands are very well made, sturdy and beautiful. One review is incorrect about the quality of the wood. These are solid wood, not veneered. They are heavy and the fasteners are first rate. Although there is no cable management included, all you need are some of the inexpensive, stick on cable clips that Amazon sells, to stick to the back of the wooden stands. These are great stands.

Nice piece of work

This stand (notice I use the singular here) is really well built and there's obvious attention to detail. HOWEVER, the Amazon product listing should be updated with the word "stand" replacing "stands" in the product name. I thought I was buying a PAIR of stands and was very disappointed when only one showed up. If it wasn't such a good product, I likely would have returned it, but after assembling and putting it to use I'm ordering a second one! Still worth the money in my estimation.

Better than you'd expect for the $$

Excellent value for money. Unlike most of the all-metal speaker stands I saw, these Monolith stands are mostly made of wood and are entirely acceptable in a nicely furnished room. I did see some other stands that were similarly attractive, but much more expensive. Only real complaints are lack of cable management and only spike feet included in the package, but workarounds for these are easy enough (see CONS below) - five stars if those issues were addressed, otherwise these have seemed close to perfect for our purposes.PROSASSEMBLY - Very easy, but it really helps to have an extra pair of hands briefly when attaching the base - there's some fiddly business with the loose metal cylinders connecting the two posts using shallow holes in each post, so if someone can just hold those together while the posts are inverted so you can attach the base, it makes things a lot easier. Have a med-large Phillips head screwdriver handy to screw in the bolts for the stand base. The platform is secured up top with smaller bolts tightened with a supplied Allen wrench. That's all there is to it except for the feet (see below).MATERIALS - These are real solid wood posts with threaded metal inserts for screwing in the bolts that secure the metal base and speaker platform. No cheap plastic or contact-paper-wrapped particleboard here. Hefty for good reason.APPEARANCE - The finished wood surfaces look great in our home theater area next to a cherry entertainment center.FUNCTIONALITY - I might be less demanding than some, but we can drive our home theater setup to some high volume levels and the stands don't appear to have changed the color of the sound or introduced any noise or vibration, even on a plank floor without the spike feet (discussed below). The top platform is completely flat and some handy adhesive rubber feet are included, so you can set a bookshelf speaker up to 50 lbs. atop each stand.CONSCABLE MANAGEMENT - Well, there isn't any. That's surprising with this stand's open design, since dangling wires kinda ruin the look. Workaround's easy enough - I used 3M Command Outdoor Light Clips I found at Lowe's (I prefer Command brand because they're easily removed without damaging the finish), but there are also versions specifically for cord management if you can find 'em. Route wire down the back of one of the posts using the clips and it all disappears, very nice look. If the back is visible in your deployment, I think Command also offers clear strips that might look a little tidier. Better still would have been some cable management directly integrated with the stand, but given the price and the quality of materials, I can live with it as is.SPIKE FEET - The stand ONLY comes with spike feet to screw into the base, which I'm sure are fine for installations on carpeting, so if that's where you'll put them this shouldn't be a problem. We have plank flooring in our great room, and without the spikes the base has metal edges that we didn't want on the floor either. We considered getting spike "coasters", but those seemed like a hassle for repositioning. Fortunately, the spikes screw into standard (for Chinese furniture) M8 x 1.25 threaded holes in the base plate, so I got some black nylon feet on Amazon (AMZ stock nbr B088BL18YH as of 16aug2022) to use instead, and those worked fine. I don't think this situation is all that unusual, so it would be better if "hard floor" feet were included with the stand.

Really sturdy wood and metal stands

They were super simple to put together and very sturdy. They look modern and hold my Kef Q150’s well. They come with pads for the top mount to protect the speakers from scuffs. The bottom metal plate does not have any rubber feet so you may need to supply your own pad or sound absorber material if you place them on a hard surface.

Really nice!

So I don't often do reviews but these are worthy. Very well packaged. Took all of three minutes per side to assemble. Hardware and build quality are top notch. Worth every penny! These easily support my Edifier S1000 MKII's which are some pretty hefty monitors. At least 20 lbs per side. These are really nice stands. Installed them flat without the spikes but they are included and the weld plates for these looks stought as well.Would highly recommend!

Monnoprice support SUCKS....DO NOT BUY

Parts were missing out of one of the stands I ordered and I reached out to Monoprice support. They had me send proof of my order from Amazon. After doing that..."We can't find that order at all". Absolutely no help at all. "Just return it to Amazon" they say. That is a pain in the ass to do. What would be easier...send me the four adjustable legs, or make me return it to Amazon and wait for another one to be shipped out to me? Quality speaker stands, but will definitely avoid anything by them in the future. I already ordered one of their stands the previous week and had already thrown that box out. If I still had the first box, I would return both of the stands.

Solid stands, easy to assemble - but buy two!

These are quite good looking, I wanted wood stands in a natural color. The base and top are black metal but the most visible portion is the wood uprights. The packaging is secure, with the metal parts well wrapped to prevent scratching. All hardware is bagged and labelled. Assembly takes 5-10 minutes. These are holding up my Klipsch kg2 speakers, which weight 28 lbs each. The 24" height of the stands puts these at ear level while seated. Two small complaints - the spike feet seem to have an extra 1/2 " of thread when installed. The stands are also sold individually, so I had to order a second one.
