The speakers have a great depth of sound and are perfect for budget to mid-range home theater setups. The speakers are reasonably priced and there are not many speakers that can compete with it in terms of price to performance. Overall, I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a high-quality and affordable speaker.

Have 7 of these and they are great. I have the crossover set to 80Hz. I am still breaking in the speakers, but the speakers are so crisp and clear with a natural response. Lots for speaker for the price. I recommend.

Update:Dropped another star - By the time I received replacements for the failing Left and Center channels, the replacement Right is already starting to fail after only 2 weeks, and just like the prior ones is showing significant degradation.Do not buy these speakers - all of the ones I have encountered (including the replacements) are from the same initial production shipment of 300 units. I have now had to replace serial numbers M34367BG1900285, M34367BG1900112 and M34367BG1900105 - and now one of the replacements (M34367BG1900154) is showing the same signs of failure as the others.So far that's 100% failure within the first 30 days of installation for 4 speakers. I'm convinced this is either a faulty batch of units, or there is a fatal design issue with the speakers.I should note that the other TEN Monoprice speakers I purchased for this project (2 Monolith subs and 8 surround/atmos) speaker have been completely flawless. This particular model of THX LCR speakers are the only ones with issues.If the Left and Center replacements I just received follow the same path, I will be reporting Monoprice to THX, as there is no way the actual manufactured units would ever pass their testing.Amazon has been great about replacing these as they fail, and Monoprice has refunded the ones I bought from them, but Monoprice needs to step up and resolve whatever is going on with these speakers.Original review:The pictures of the EQ corrections to get my set of 3 of these speakers to flat says everything you need to know.As you can see, the left channel is not correctable to flat. That's because the 1" silk dome tweeter is only operating at about 25%.The right channel is a brand-new replacement for the original right channel which suffered a complete tweeter failure after less than 60 days - so this curve is what it looks like when it's brand new.The center channel is correctable to flat, but you can see that it varies significantly from the brand new right channel.What does this mean? 2 of the 3 speakers have failed, and the third has varied significantly from where it started. To some degree you expect to see improved low-end as the speakers complete their break-in period - but you shouldn't see this kind of tweeter attenuation, much less the complete failure I've seen in 2/3. My guess is that the center is just a matter of time.Add to this that the design of the magnetic grills is such that they slide down the front until they expose about 1/2 of the top of the speaker frame. If you want to use the grills, you will need to engineer a solution to hold them in place. Normally on a magnetic speaker grill, the magnets are only required to hold the grill against the frame where it fits into a locked position. In this design, the grill has a bit more than 1/2" degree of freedom to slide in any direction - and since magnets and friction are the only thing holding them in place, a little bit of vibration causes them to slide until the edge of the grill comes into contact with the magnets. It takes about 15 minutes at movie reference volumes for this to happen. I just took them off since I have black walls in the front of my theater. I may try to rig something.My hope is that I was extremely unlucky and just got a bad batch and that the replacements will function properly over time. I will jump through a lot of hoops to avoid having to re-drywall and create new cutouts for another brand of speakers - so I really hope these work out.Lastly, unfortunately Monoprice is not really a high-end audio company, so although these represent a great value for a THX-certified speaker, you will not be speaking with an audio expert if you contact them, even though they have a direct channel for Monolith support. Expect that you will be much better informed than the support staff you speak to.On the plus side, Amazon is standing behind these and will have replaced them all after only about 60 days.If everything ultimately turns out great I will update my review, but for now my advice is to stay away from these particular speakers.Last aside: So far the other MP speakers (alphas and carbon fiber 3-ways) that I chose for the surround and atmos channels are working perfectly. Those "cheap" speakers seem to be much better designed than these much more expensive so-called THX models. They are very consistent and correctable to flat, and the magnetic grills are perfect. Additionally, the Monolith 12" powered subs are phenomenal - so although I don't recommend these, I've had great luck with all of the other MP gear in my project.
