Madhava Organic Amber Honey, Unfiltered Organic Amber Honey, 5 Lb

Switched brands and decided to try this one… So glad I did. The consistency is so creamy and the color is this beautiful dark amber. The flavor is awesome. This is my go to from now on.

Used this as a white sugar substitute along with some coconut palm sugar and it was a hit! I can make cookies with those two ingredients instead and they taste wonderful!

This honey is so smooth and creamy. The taste is outstanding. This is the only type of honey that I buy now. It’s worth the money. Great for tea and as an additive when making homemade barbecue sauce. My grandkids like to heat it up and drizzle it over biscuits.

I bought this honey, which is non returnable. NOTE: No where in the description, now that I read it all several times, does it state this bottle is RAW. It is NOT raw. If it is Raw and Unpasteurized, it States so on the label They used to sell a Raw, more expensive. version, labeled as raw. They highlight all the certifications about it being clean and inspected on their website and on Amazon. They say organic and unfiltered, however, NO WHERE does it state it is RAW. I was reading many reviews, however, maybe... they are referring to the other version of Raw Madhava in a smaller jar (as Amazon often combines one brand's reviews of various products under each similar product.) However, Mudhava Organic Amber Honey 5 pounds is NOT raw. It is probably pasteurized, however, that is not required to be on the label. Here is a quote I found on one site: ". It should say “100% raw” or “unpasteurized”. Words like “organic” and “pure” do not indicate that the honey was unheated."It tasted good. It crystalizes in my house and I have to put it in other containers. However, pasteurized honey can crystallize. I researched that too. I do believe it is organic and clean. It has a lovely taste However, if you want raw honey, which contains many more minerals and such for your health, then this is NOT the honey to purchase. It is good organic honey. Here on Amazon, I purchase Y.S. Eco Bee Farms, 100% Certified Organic Raw Honey, which is very good, delicious RAW honey. Certified in both ways.

In reading the reviews on this honey I read that a few people suggested that this honey is just artificial syrup, that is not true at all.This honey is real honey, because I tasted it myself and being a chef I should know.I've tasted many different honeys from this country and other countries, and this honey has a nice woody earthy taste that is very smooth, and satisfying, and would work well with many recipes calling for honey.This honey is much better than any of the honey you would purchase at your regular grocery store, most people purchase clover honey which has a much different taste, you're very refined.Clover hunting is one of the honeys that is most sold in the stores throughout the USA, and the type of honey that most people have tried, and believe that is what honey should taste like, but there are many different types of honey, start trying them and you'll be surprised at the different taste that you'll come across, and after you taste them you may never go back too store brought honey again.Also you will get a much higher pollen count , and bee brat count. in organic honey with a high bee brat count you'll be getting a lot more antioxidants.🐝Super good value for the amount you receive. You will never be able to purchase 5 pounds of honey for this much in any commercial chain grocery store in the country.💲

I like creamed honey and liked the first jar of this, but the second jar of honey was much darker and harder. In my experience, the dark color indicates older honey. It was too hard to spread, so I just put in my coffee in the mornings. When I got to the bottom of the jar, I noticed a sour taste.I'm disappointed and don't trust the quality now, so I will discontinue my subscription. I hope this was just a one-time mistake for the sake of other buyers.
