Q: What are the deminsions?

This item item measures 23" not 22". Airlines have different carryon size requirements. If 22" is max height this will not fit, which is unfortunate because its exactly what I want. I'm returning this item.

Q: Does this bag tip over when packed and standing upright?

No. At least mine never has, even when packed to the max. Notice it does have a handle on the front bottom which keeps it from tipping over.

Q: Is this bag airline approved carry on size?

The bag, in the "regular" set-up, fit without a problem. If you unzip the top to make it expand and become deeper, it may be oversized.Obviously, you will need to check with the individual airline (and the size of the aircraft could impact the decision as well).
