So like most amazon shoppers I always read reviews and Q&A before buying products. And one of the first one to pop up has a comment about these using a toxic kind of magnesium. SO as suggested by the commenter, I did my research specific to his comment. 1st off we are no stranger to magnesium as my son with ADHD has taken it on and off for years and in different brands and forms and has been discussed with his Drs. Currently he has braces and other mouth appliances and can not chew gummies and he is burned out on the drinks so for us that left chewables. These mag suppliments, main source IS Magnesium is Citrate as shown on their label. Yes they contain magnesium stearate, however it is not the main source of the magnesium. MS is a (as stated in multiple sources) a very common binder in capsules in chewables. The amount used for binding is so small it is not deemed harmful. And when I started clicking through other vitamins and common pills im sure you have in your household already, sure enough magnesium stearate was in the ingredient list on all of them- Even the one that one commenter suggested as a replacement as it "does not contain this toxin." I don't know where they got their information but it is inaccurate. OK, that being said and out of the way, as stated we have used many different brands. My son takes magnesium afterschool when his ADHD meds are wearing off. We have had one that was better than the rest that was a drink but it was really sour and we had to mix it with stuff to get him to drink it everyday. He was good-natured about it but after a while, he was just like please mom can we find something else? So we tried several other but they just didn't seem to do anything (and they were not cheap!) But here we are trying again. This one I went with because it we a chewable but not a gummy. Well he loves them. Says they are like smarties and are easy for him to chew with his appliance. And I can totally see the difference with these. He's calmer and more relaxed. Easier winding down for bed. He also has anxiety so im hoping to see improvement there but these are a keeper. I actually went ahead and ordered their multi vitamin too since there are so few brands that make a multi that is not a gummy.

My four year old was recently diagnosed with adhd. He has behavior issues and hyperactivity . I looked into natural remedies to help him. I saw magnesium as one of the remedies. I found this brand after looking at the reviews and gave it a try. The first week he did amazing . It helped his mood, he had less emotional fits and tantrums and was even waking up later ! The first week he was waking up at 730 instead of 530 am. But unfortunately that only lasted a week. I guess he got used to taking them after such a short period of time. But they still help with his mood and behavior . I haven’t seen a serious drastic change in him compared to what it would be with him taking meds. But I have been trying anything but medication being he is so young and still a toddler. I really want to avoid putting him on meds. He’s in therapy and has a behavior therapist who does at home therapy. I definitely have seen an improvement with him but like I said after a few weeks he got used to them. But I still Continue to give him them. As it does still help a little bit which is better than nothing ! . I also started giving him multi vitamins of another brand .

These work wonderfully for constipation and sleep but I have to bribe my kids to take them by offering M and M candy chasers. They’re a super strange sour sweet. My four year old sleeps better than he ever has in his life. It works so much better than melatonin at KEEPING kids asleep instead of just helping him fall asleep. I’ve started taking these, too, for sleep at night and they are AMAZINGLY relaxing and stress relieving.

I give these to my kids as part of their daily vitamins. They like the flavor compared to other vitamins they take.

I don't leave a lot of reviews, but I feel like if this can help someone who has a child with tics then great! My child has had this vocal tic for a while, it never really bothered us, sometimes it was a clicking and then for a long time he had a throat clearing/grunting thing. We realized it was a problem when we were coming up to Thanksgiving break from school, he's 4 by the way, it had turned into continuous hard eye blinking, licking his lips, throat clearing, slurping and it seemed to all happen in a sequence. I did a little research and read that lack of magnesium could be a factor in tics. I did realize that the month of November we ate out a lot and not healthy either because we were so busy and then the stress of school probably brought on all the additional tics too. Well, I got a bottle of this and Smarty Pants chewables. It's been about 5 days and the tics have reduced about 80%. We didn't really notice a big difference until about the 3rd day. It's hard to find a supplement for kids that's only magnesium, so this was perfect for us to start out and try. Two pills are only 25% of recommended daily value, so I give my son 2 pills in the morning with 2 chewables and then the same at night, so he's not eating it all at one time. I make sure that he eats much healthier now. Beans, greens and bananas are packed with magnesium. It's all helped so much, so thank you Natures Plus!

We love this supplement! As adults we don’t get enough magnesium in our diet, so I can imagine what our kids are lacking. We use kid Magz and their GOLD multivitamin daily to keep our kids healthy as possible. They love they taste, never throw or spit them out. We have tried several brands they haven’t preferred, but we are going a few years strong with these!!
