Best Multi Device Headset
Summary: This headset allows me to connect to my work laptop, my personal desktop, and my audio interface at the same time with audio coming through simultaneously from all sound sources with no need to swap anything. Also upgrading it with some WC replacement ear cups and headband wrap to resist pleather wear and increase comfort, and add some personalization, is worth it 200%The long version:I work hybrid, so some days at home, some in office. When I am work from home, I work on a laptop that connects to my personal monitors. My personal desktop also goes into my monitors, so I can switch between sources if I have both going at the same time.My original headset, Corsair RGB Void Pro had a little dongle that broke because I had to constantly move the dongle back and forth between my PC and my laptop if I wanted to use either or. I did get a replacement dongle, but I needed a better solution because this could happen again and eventually Void Pro dongles will be harder to come by.I eventually discovered the Corsair Virtuoso RGB XT. It's wireless, it has its own dongle (which can handle up to 4 wireless devices), it also has bluetooth, and it can become wired through USB or 3.5mm jack. The bluetooth was what I was here for, but I got so much more. After getting the headphones, I was able to clear my PC case front USB ports (the Void Pro dongle, a micro usb, and another usb c cable which has built in velcro to bundle and set aside. My mouse wireless dongle is still there but might be possible to remove too). The game changing feature which I did not expect was that the dongle audio, the bluetooth audio, and the 3.5mm audio could all be played at the same time. I don't have to worry about flipping between sources or checking to see which one of the three is active, none of that. I can be on my personal computer, I can be on my work computer, and I can (if I wanted to) be connected to my audio interface recording guitar, ALL AT THE SAME TIME. That avoids any concerns about anything wearing down and breaking, I can keep the Virtuoso dongle safe behind the computer, and I have the option of being wired or wireless. I can have all the cakes and eat them all too. It. Is. Glorious. So if you love having flexible, streamlined, and cleaned up work spaces, ESPECIALLY if the work spaces are separate stations but occupy the same space (like my work laptop, my personal desktop, and my audio interface do), this is the clearcut winner. The headphones themselves, so many people talk about the specs and performance, and Dolby Atmos. Just go look up a few Tech Youtubers' video reviews on them. They are all say these headphones are pretty good. The mic is apparently a miracle and the best in this category, so that's pretty nice (AND IT IS REPLACEABLE, AND REMOVABLE TOO. WHAT EVEN). Can't speak to battery life since mine are new.Oh yeah, final note. Do replace the stock ear cups. Get the ones from a brand called WC because they are deeper, bigger, made of fabric and not pleather like the stock ones, and they have greater comfort supposedly (I haven't used the stock ones. I immediately used the replacement ones out of the box). I also got a band to go around the top of the headset from WC to protect the pleather on the top from wearing and flaking off. I'd recommend you do the same. There are also patterns you can choose from to give your headset some personality.Overall, big win in all directions, these headphones. I would strongly recommend getting those WC ear cups and band set. Worthy upgrade to an already amazing headset

10 outta 10
I got these about a week ago cause I work from home and am constantly on calls. These were a serious game changer and I’m so glad I got them. I needed something that went around my ear so my kids didn’t distract me and was also clear sounding. This pairs great with the noise cancellation software I use, Krisp, and now I can hear people and they can hear me without interruption. 10 outta 10. I might by a second pair for gaming so I don’t wear these out to fast ha.

So happy with my purchase
I am ranking this headset with 4 stars instead of 5 because I purchased the iCUE version and there are issues with iCUE. If Corsair fixes my issues with iCUE, my rating will go up to 5 stars.Comfort: The original earcups are a bit shallow. Thankfully, you can buy thicker replacement earcups here on Amazon for only a small extra charge. I chose replacements with velvet touching my head to reduce sweating issues and vinyl outer shells to keep out outside sounds.Noise Cancellation: These are not noise canceling headphones. They are over-ear headphones that completely enclose your ears inside the earcups. Outside noise reduction is mainly done by your earcups. I am quite satisfied with the level of noise reduction by these headphones, but again, they are not active noise-canceling headphones.Sound quality: Your sound quality will depend on the method of connection.- If you cable to your source using the headphone jack, you'll get the best possible sound quality.- If you use the wireless receiver, you'll get excellent sound quality- If you use the bluetooth capability, you'll get very good sound quality, but perhaps not quite as good as the other options.Lag: This will depend on your computer and the software you're using for sound. I use this headset primarily with Microsoft Teams and find that there is very little lag when using the wireless receiver. Lag is slightly greater using the bluetooth connection.Range:- The provided USB-A to USB-C cable is 2m long. When using it, you're tethered to your workstation.- If you use a 3-channel headphone cable, you may be able to increase your range while remaining tethered.- I will not discuss any options for 3rd-party cable extension adaptations because they will depend on the product.- The USB wireless receiver is excellent, but doesn't provide great range or good through-the-walls capability. I can move away from my workstation maybe 10m or so in open air and maybe 4m through walls. When I originally purchased the headset, the microphone's wireless range was only 2m in open air, but after an update in 2021, this appears to be mostly resolved.- Bluetooth gives the greatest range. It's better in open air and through the walls by about half.Multiple connectivity: I've used these headphones in wireless mode with both the wireless adapter and bluetooth connections active simultaneously to different sources. I typically connect bluetooth to my phone or to a second workstation, while I use the USB wireless adapter with my primary workstation. I can use them simultaneously. My only issues are remembering to mute the conversation that I don't want to be talking to. I haven't tried tethered multiple connectivity and cannot provide any review on it.Modes:- USB Cabled mode: This headset cannot charge while wireless turned on. It charges quickly, but there have been times when I needed to switch to the USB cable when my battery was low.- Headphone Cabled mode: I haven't tried this mode enough to describe how and when it works.- Wireless mode: The USB wireless adapter is automatically used (if it's connected to a device) when the headphones are turned to wireless mode. Bluetooth can be turned on while the headphones are turned to wireless mode. The headphones will connect to a bluetooth device while also connected to another device via the USB wireless adapter. I consider this to be a useful feature.iCUE: It's great when it works. My workstation is an HP ZBook-16 portable workstation running Windows 10 and I typically put it in sleep mode overnight. I use iCUE to adjust the lighting settings on the headset to minimal lighting to extend battery life (only the mic turns red when it's muted). iCUE works well immediately after reboot, but it goes into an unrecoverable state when the workstation resumes from sleep and its functions fail. Again, if Corsair will fix the iCUE issue, I'll give this product 5 stars.

natural conversation without lag
They sound good. Biggest thing is, I'm able to hear myself without the lag some of those other headphones have that play back your audio like a monitor. The open back setup removes that problem and it feels more like a natural conversation while I'm in calls. Not as good as my Sennheisers, but I can't find any of those with a microphone built in, so this really is the best solution.
