Dritz Fix Size 5 Nylon Coil Zipper-Gunmetal Sz 5

I had received the product with the slight delay. Yet, once I opened it, I could see it is a good zipper. It would most likely work on any common size 5 coil zipper, yet mine was quite uncommon. Therefore, I didn't manage to use it, yet. I am quite sure one of the other zippers will go bad soon. Nonetheless, once you have it on your hands, you'll see it is a quality driven little zipper. Would recommend ...

I have absolutely nothing good to report about my experience with this product. Opening the jaws to install on the zipper tape was difficult, even with the included "tool." Closing the jaws was impossible, so the pull never fully engaged with the zipper tape. Consequently, the zipper would not come together and close up the coil as a zipper is designed to do. This product was NOT able to fix my zipper. After opening and closing it extensively to try and get it to work as described, it eventually broke the tab off. Nothing else to do but put it in the trash. Perhaps it was a defective part, however, I do not recommend this product.

Fits well , does it’s job ... very stiff and hard to pull at the moment ; I am hoping that it gets easier with more use

Worked great and it was easy to put on. I was glad I didn’t need to replace my garment. It was a big money saver.

Installation was very easy. A little difficult to open up the hinge. Once I released the lock, I had to use a small electronics screwdriver to pry it open. After installing it, I noticed that the zipper slide was at a slight angle to the zipper track. It runs at an angle on the zipper because the center divider is very thick (due to the hinge). See images mid zipper and at bottom of the zipper. It binds as you slide the zipper slide making it difficult to move the slide. It needs to be a touch wider to slide more freely. I will continue to look further for a proper slide for my vintage Under Armour jacket.
