Equity 14075 Black Analog Wind-Up Alarm Clock

Have just opened the box, set the time and wound up the clock. It's great! There's been ticking clocks in my family for generations. They soothe kids, adults, and animals. This one is larger but can be seen from across the room. The design is simple and will go with various décor. We'd like to see other models; when we run out of batteries and the power's off, the ticking clocks are reliable. Recommended.UPDATE: Am sorry to say that this wonderful ticking clock does not keep good time. I have to actually touch it before I'll hear ticking again and the 'second' hand moves. Am very sad. This was placed in a room we don't go in often, but a clock is needed. I'd like to think the clock sent us is an exception.

I have glaucoma, blind in one eye....this clocks large face is perfect for me to see. However the light up hands arent very bright so I keep a small battery lit candle near to see in the night. the alarm is loud but not too bad if I am sleeping sound. just enough, the ticking doesnt bother me, I would much rather have a wind up clock cause spending money on batteries for many things gets ridiculous....to fight climate change more effectively we have to do some things manually like we have before...takes common sense. Now for the big test ...Longevity for this clock like my last westclox. UPDATE.!!!!!!....Clock Stops after an a few hours.....doesnt work properly. Keeps stopping after being wound up. My grandma always said..you buy cheap you get cheap...how true that is, junk still no refund after days waiting. companies keep playing ping pong amongst who is responsible for their product. sickening.

And yeah, if you didn't get that, then you're "Old School", which is cool. In a world of silent digital timekeepers, there's something quite satisfying and calming about a clock ticking away faithfully on the other side of the room. And there's something Zen about that little bit of presence and attention required every day to wind it up and maybe tweak the time a little bit ~ then set it back on the table and it's good to go for another day.I was a bit concerned at first because it was running quite slow and the adjustment appeared to be nearly maxed out at the "+" end. However, with a very slight nudge, it is now keeping very accurate time.

When I first wound it up, this clock lost 6 minutes in 24 hrs. I moved the adjustment lever less than1/16 +. Now it runs 15 seconds slow in 24 hrs. Winds up keys turn backwards, Made in China.Good clock for $12.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Bought this clock for my friend. However it stopped working not too long after I got it for her. Was kind of cheap looking too but the price was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

This clock does not have Luminous hands or hour dots. There is no power source. It is a wind up clock. I knew this upon purchase, however, the parts that are supposed to illuminate should illuminate if placed in the sun for a few hours each day. My nightstand gets plenty of sun so the clock should have illuminated as advertised. The face is completely dark after being in the sun for hours. Note that the clock is advertised as having Luminous Hands and Hour dots. I called the company and was told that the clock “ is only meant to illuminate for a few minutes “. What good would that do if you wake up in the middle of the night and want to check the time? I was trying to avoid having to check my phone at night just to get the time. I do not recommend this clock if you need to check the time at night in the dark.The clock seems to keep accurate time, at least for the one day I used it.PLEASE READ ADDITIONAL INFO BELOW!Addition to review: There is a WARNING on the paperwork that came with the clock. This is the warning——“This product can expose you to chemicals including acrylonitrile, 1,3-butadiene, and styrene, which are known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm”.

This is the only alarm clock that’ll wake me, I sleep through every single phone alarm while the rest of the house gets mad at me hahaThis alarm clock is a cute little size perfect for a nightstand. It’s easy to set, and read.

I thought I was ordering a wind-up alarm clock to wake me up in the morning. Unfortunately, this is of poor quality. After winding it, this clock's alarm rings only for 4 seconds (yes, I counted) ... not long enough and not loud enough to awaken me. After 4 seconds, it shuts itself off and I have to rewind it for another 4 seconds. This does not deserve a one-star rating.
