NGK CR-8 EIX CR8EIX Spark Plug - white/silver

Have been using these for my motorbikes in particular for decades now, as they simply work all round better than regular plugs due to the use of an extremely tough and fine Iridium alloy tip, instead of the standard faire. This results in a far more dependable and focused spark, and the tip is far more resistant to wear.With these plugs they last much longer before requiring replacement, and I have found them to need no spark gap adjustment before they really should be replaced. On operating characteristics, with these, all of my engines have run much smoother, and been capable of idling at far lower speeds due to the combustion cycle being much cleaner, and due to it starting exactly when its asked to.Just straight up an all round better sparkplug by the nature of its design.No borderline made up nonsense of dubious merit cooked up by marketing to slap a large mark up on an otherwise generic product, or to hive sales off the competition here... just good, solid, straight forward engineering that has resulted in a noticeably superior product.

I was surprised how much difference these plugs made as an uprade to the standard NGKs I had been using before (Yamaha XJ600S). Better cold starting, smoother running, improved throttle response, and a more powerful feel to the engine. It would be interesting to do some kind of A/B performance comparison, but the effect is certainly enough to be noticeable, whatever the measured difference might turn out to be.I'll need to go a few months before I get a clear idea of how they affect MPG (something I can and do measure), but on performance alone I won't be going back to standard plugs.
