I bought this for my 6 year old boy - it was a bit tricky to assemble for him but I helped him out. Was a bit worried at some of the reviews I've read, but now that I've assembled it and used it, definitely would recommend. If one follows the assembly instructions correctly it works exactly as it should. When we first assembled it, there were teething issues, like slippage and clicking noises. But we both figured out that we didn't assemble the chain the right way round (all the chain bits needs to be assembled uniformly to allow for the chain to roll smoothly). It was educational as we had to do some engineering debugging and figuring out why it wasn't working. Totally recommend it. My kid love it to bits!!

K'NEX is such a great toy! I have found memories of playing with K'nex when I was growing up and it is now time to let my kid have the same fun I once had.It is an amazing framework that allows kids to have fun, be creative, problem solve and learn, all at the same time. My kid loves this particular set, spending hours assembling and playing with the 3 provided models. Having a motor makes a big difference, since it allows them to, not only imagine, but actually put to practise different and surprising ideas.I sincerely hope BasicFun! can capitalize on nostalgic fathers like me, by investing more into the K'nex franchise, and bring back classics such as the K'NEX Big Ball Factory building set and other classic (classic K'NEX type) roller coaster sets.

Good but certainly for more advanced children

Bought for a 6 year old. Possibly a bit young, so required a fair bit of help. Having said that it was fun to put together and works well.

This was my son’s favourite Christmas present. I bought this during Black Friday so was a great offer. It took a long time to build, and we realised in the last two steps there were two parts missing. I contacted the seller on the 27/12/24 and haven’t heard back. Sadly going to have to return it but won’t be able to buy again for the full price. Only wanted the two missing parts. I wouldn’t risk buying this.

The K'NEX Thrill Rides 3-in-1 Classic Amusement Park Building Set is a brilliant present for children who like to spend hours building things and working out problems. This set is particularly good because when they can build the first item, see it in action and play with it for as long as they want, and then they can break it up and build the second item and do the same leading them to the third item. My some then picked his favourite item which was the fist one built and that meant that he got to use the K'Nex set 4 times as opposed to Lego (which he also loves) just the once.I also think that K'Nex makes kids think a bit more about structures, building, engineering and technical areas. Very worthwhile buy.
