Its a beautiful cup but it doesn't function. First of all, the instructions for its usages suggests using a wooden spoon / stirrer for it so as to not damage the ceramic lining, who has one of these just kicking about? and surely this is less sustainable than using a normal spoon that you wash? It also suggests keeping it in a soft pouch when travelling, again, not really practical, but also if you recommend it then you should provide it!Finally mine has never worked 100%, it'll click open just great, but never clicks shut. I've taken it apart, put it back together, but it still doesn't work. The search continues...UpdateAfter this review I was contacted by Bru to offer me a replacement and as I had spent a while decided upon this one and it's a British company, I decided to give it another go. Unlike my dad's second Rover 75 (which also tried to kill him like the first one) I can say that this one is working perfectly and I'm delighted.They also made comments against my feedback, so you can use metal spoons for stirring your morning coffee, but it using a wooden utensil is simply a better option. Great. Secondly, the casing, it doesn't mean that it's going scratch every time it touches something, it certainly doesn't feel cheap, but to stop your keys in your backpack scratching it up, it would be best to protect it.For now I am delighted and a very satisfied customer after their proactive and personal responses.

Bought for use while driving, and it's proven a good purchase! I've had all sorts of travel mugs bought for me in the past and there's always been some feature that I didn't like. This mug, however, has nothing that I don't like! It's easy to open and close one handed on the go, and you don't have to pay attention to which way you're holding it when you drink in case it's the wrong way round and coffee goes down your front instead of into your mouth 😅 Drinks stay hot or cold for hours on end, and when I throw it into my bag at the end of the journey I won't have to worry that it's going to leak. Full disclosure, I did initially have an issue with a lid not closing but the seller was very responsive and helpful. It seems like there was a faulty batch, but they quickly resolved the problem over and above what they needed to. Would definitely recommend.

It is a good cup as it holds in the heat really well, I like the lining for not giving any taste to the drink, always a bonus and this is not matter how long it is in the cup.It is easy enough to drink out of but not as easy as those with a flip seal which leaves a hole to drink out of, this can slop around if you are in a car and make it not so easy to drink from.Having had a replacement top sent out the leak issue has been resolvedOn the instructions it tells you how to tighten the lid so as not to have any leakage from it and it does say to check it regularly. I check every time and I find it still tends to have a level of leakage, this is why it only gets 3 stars as it is not leakproof as stated and the issue when drinking from it while on the move.It is worth a try but an expensive leaky cup

Have been using one of these every day for months now, and it's just perfect. Keeps my coffee hot without affecting it's flavour, easy to take apart and clean, and best of all it's completely leak proof. Not only is the cup great, but also after sale support from Bru has been fantastic and super friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Why did you choose this product over others?:I chose this cup mainly for it's ability to be taken apart to clean the lid thoroughly, which is great. But now the push down lid top feels very loose but still functions OK. Drink stays warm enough for a couple of hours, which is fine with me. The main issue is it had an awful smell to it when I received it. Four or five washes later the smell is still present! Can sort of smell/taste it while taking a sip, maybe that will disappear over time, who knows we shall see.

I am very impressed with this mug. It doesnt leak. My drinks taste as they should, the ceramic lining doesnt alter the taste at all

Great quality item. Beautiful colour. Keeps my coffee perfect temp for my long days on the road. Chose this item for the ability to open the lid one handed and seal again with no spills. Would buy again

I’ve owned 2 Bru cups and always been very impressed with their quality and durability. I bought this cup as a gift and was disappointed to hear that the lid was not functioning properly. The Bru team were very responsive by email and immediately offered to send a replacement lid which works perfectly. Brilliant customer service and I would continue to highly recommend!
