Needed new igniter for Weber grill. This was easy to install and easy to work. Very easy to push to ignite.

i have a Q300you will be taking out the grill grates AND the burners.so many things to not like. primarily: missing the connector for the center pin of the igniter on the button part to the actual part that's supposed to spark. that's my biggest issue. THIS IS NOT COMPLETE. you cannot get the wire connection on to the center pin. i had to get all mcgyver with it to get it to work.that alone deserves the 1 star. the other issue us that the part that actually provides the spark slides around and has no way to lock its position. in the fullest inset position i could not get it to light my grill. i pushed it all the way out to get it as close as the burner that i could and it did start the fire. there is no way to lock it in this position. if i move my grill in 2 years and the button no longer starts the grill i have to remember to look to see if the igniter got pushed back into the slot and push it back out if it did. i hate that. i know that will bite me in the butt eventuallythe button DOES fit in the slot of the OE button source, but barely. i feel like it's being held in place by hopes and dreams.what do i like about it? i like that it connects with a bracket using the existing bolt that attaches the middle burner so i don't have to deal with a tiny nut that's near impossible to move. the spark is strong (i zapped myself testing it). i like that it doesn't use a battery. i like that it was cheap...but i certainly would have paid more for a complete, well thought out replacement.AVOID unless you have that missing connector handy and a lot of patience.

Update: after taking it apart I found that one of the spade connectors wasn't very tight and worked its way loose. A quick crimp with some needle nosed pliers has it working again. Still a good but, but docked it a star because it had to be mended. Used this on a Weber Genesis (instead of the pricier Weber version) and it worked well - for about two months before dying.

Looks like original but doesent work as good. The igniter button doesn't ground the battery connection all the time. I have wiggle the cap to make the connection to get the igniter to work.

The connectors connecting the switch to the ignitor are incorrect. Unless you want to add new connectors yourself, buy a different product
