Couldn’t get the toy to work at all!

My corgi loves this toy. The movement is great and moves well on carpet. The music is kinda lame but there is an option to use it with out the sounds.

I ordered this crab toy for my 3 month old because the product info said it was good for tummy time and crawling babies. This toy is WAY too fast for an infant or crawling baby.On our high pile carpet the crab runs slowly and doesn’t work well, but on the tile it moves much too quickly for an infant to keep up with. However, my 5 year old loves it. He chased it around for quite some time.There are 2 songs that it plays and they can get rather repetitive, but you can also turn them off.Overall, it’s a fun toy, just not for babies as they recommend.

As a family with a very busy, and very mobile, one year old boy we need toys that are going to keep him occupied and active. This little crab does the trick... and it is a laugh-riot to watch! The crab can navigate our living spaces without issue, and on smooth surfaces it can MOVE. I'm still surprised at how quick it can get going on our tile and wood floors. It makes for a lot of of fun for the whole family!My only concern related to this toy surrounds the build quality of the toy. The plastic components feel somewhat flimsy, which makes me question its durability. Given this is a toy that is chased, it is likely to see a few hits, bumps, and drops. I just don't foresee this toy being able to withstand more than a few of those events, however.We will certainly have fun with this toy for as long as it stays functional. I just hope that is longer than I anticipate it will be. Time will tell!

This is great. The music and entertainment value is wonderful. I would have given it a 5 star except it has a hard time moving on some surfaces that you think it should be able to move on.

The media could not be loaded.  This little guy is super cute and I like everything about it....EXCEPT the AA batteries part. Maybe some people prefer using them, but I'm sooo over disposable batteries. I, unfortunately, assumed that this crab had a rechargeable battery in it because I've seen others available that do. Even worse though, is that the battery compartment is a bit of a nightmare to get to (especially the first time). There are numerous tiny screw holes on the underside and it took me far longer than it should have to figure out which screws needed to be removed and how to access the battery box (there are no instructions included).The crab itself seems like a decently designed toy, so far. It doesn't work on my living room carpeting but actually works great on tile or laminate flooring. The sensors are on the sides of the claws, so it'll only respond to objects that are a couple inches off of the ground and in line with them. It's made entirely of hard plastic, so it probably won't tolerate abuse. But it seems like it's tough enough to hold up well to normal use. I was initially concerned that it wouldn't be safe for crawling babies. But the spinning wheels that make the legs move, literally stop moving with light pressure. So there aren't any pinch points.The power switch has 3 settings..."OFF"..."ON"..."ON WITH MUSIC". If you don't mind the AA battery feature, this is a uniquely fun little toy!
