Works great

I didn't have any issues at all. There seem to be a lot of complaints about mot being able to move apps. I didn't have problems moving apps. I have 2 firesticks and was having problems with one as you would be watching some and it would just stop and go back to screen to start the program. These were on sale and had a lot more memory than the ones I already had so I decided to replace both of them. I was worried reading the reviews where people said they couldn't move apps but I didn't have any problems. Got everything set up on my new improved firesticks just like I had them on my old firesticks.

Changed my rating!

Was going to return this item (,still unopened) but was past my return window. Decided to go ahead and connect to my Samsung TV via the USB port. It's telling me not enough power to connect to USB. Guess I'll try to push it off on somebody else and stay with my Roku which hasn't failed me yet!Ok, changing my rating. I apologize to Amazon. Was very disappointed at first. Got my grandson to move the USB cable to another USB and tried again (after reading another customer's comments). It worked! Still showed power not strong enough but after some seconds, it started loading and is playing fine.

Firestick better than ever

I recently upgraded to the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and I couldn't be more pleased with my decision. This streaming device truly enhances my home entertainment experience, and here’s why:**TV Functionality**The Fire TV Stick 4K Max makes navigating my TV a breeze. With its intuitive interface, I can access my favorite apps and channels quickly. It supports a variety of streaming platforms, including Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, and many more, ensuring I have a plethora of content at my fingertips. The integration with Alexa also adds a layer of convenience, allowing me to search for shows or launch apps using just my voice.**Remote Functionality**The remote control design is a standout feature. It's sleek and easy to hold, with well-placed buttons that are sensitive to touch. The voice search functionality works flawlessly, making it super easy to find specific titles without having to scroll through endless menus. I also appreciate the dedicated buttons for popular streaming services, which allow for quick access to my favorite content.**Sound Quality**Sound quality is impressive, especially when streaming in 4K. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max supports Dolby Atmos, which brings an immersive audio experience that enhances the overall viewing enjoyment. Whether I'm watching an action-packed movie or a quiet drama, the sound is crisp and clear, creating a theater-like environment right in my living room.**Streaming Capability**The streaming capability of the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is top-notch. It handles 4K Ultra HD content seamlessly, with vibrant colors and precise details that truly elevate my viewing experience. I’ve encountered minimal buffering—even during peak hours—and the loading times are impressively fast.**Internet Connectivity**In terms of internet connectivity, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max performs exceptionally well. It supports both Wi-Fi 6 and dual-band connections, allowing for reduced latency and better streaming quality. I’ve experienced no interruptions while streaming, which is a significant improvement over my previous device.**Design**The design of the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is sleek and unobtrusive. It easily blends in with my home entertainment system. Its compact size means that it doesn’t take up much space, making it perfect for any setup. The build quality feels solid, ensuring that it’ll last for years to come.Overall, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max has exceeded my expectations. It offers an exceptional streaming experience with its outstanding functionality, audio quality, and user-friendly design. If you're looking to elevate your home entertainment, I highly recommend this device!

Worth The Extra $10 Over the 4K

I bought both the Fire Stick 4K and this 4K Max model during Prime Day, and I can say that this one is worth the extra $10. The stick itself is the exact same design, but the remote is more premium-feeling (and reminiscent of older Fire TV remotes), the TV itself is slightly faster when flipping through menus and finding what to watch, and it has more storage for the future apps and updates that you'll inevitably need.Pretty good for $60, but an absolute no-brainer at $35.

Firestick, a bug or two, related services have issues. Pay to watch, commercials, commercials, why?

The “Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max streaming device” Is a good streaming device, but it has a few shortcomings. This was my 5th fire stick over the years. The original models had bulletproof performance and were completely reliable. This model and the previous model tended to hang and needed to be unplugged frequently to be reset. They seem to have mostly eliminated that bug with the last software update. Unfortunately, the last update also had a bug that causes both of my major brand TVs to often change TV inputs when using voice commands for searching for programming. Especially troubling because the fire stick does not have an input button on the remote. This also means you’ll need to dig out the original TV remote to change the input back to the fire stick input, every time this happens, and it happens a lot if you use Alexa for fire stick.Connectivity with all fire sticks that I’ve had, even in troublesome areas, has been great. Full discloser, I’m in IT.The remotes on all models up to this one, are sadly deficient in tactile feel, which results in frequently hitting the wrong button. To my knowledge, all models up to this one do not have lighted buttons, but the battery life is much better because of that. The Fire stick will also alert you when the batteries are low.You cannot separate the fire stick from the included service, and that service is highly commercialized, you cannot get around that. The fire stick home screen is nonstop commercials and preview commercials, until it goes to screensaver mode, or you start to browse. Just because they can. If they are going to make you watch commercials for years, shouldn't they give you the fire stick. I personally believe that paying to watch commercials is idiotic, why would you do that?Amazon Prime also tends to have the worst video quality of all the popular video services that I’ve seen, and I’ve seen most. If you bought a fire stick, you almost certainly bought it on Amazon, and you almost certainly have Amazon Prime programing. Amazon Prime video service and their commercial sister station, that you cannot un-install, is extremely commercialized. Amazon uses that nu-installable sister station in some unsavory ways. I pay extra not to watch commercials. This service only stops about 10% of the commercials that you will see. If you do subscribe to the “no commercial service” you will need to immediately grab your remote at the beginning of many movies, and then hopefully hit the right button to skip the preview commercial within the allotted time. If you don’t hit the right button in the first few seconds, you lose the ability to skip the commercial that you paid not to watch. The programmers know that, and the commercials are structured with that in mind.Amazon Prime will go to almost any extent to get you to watch commercials, especially on series. Sometimes switching from included services to their commercial sister station, or PPV, the middle of a season, or in the middle of a movie, if you don’t watch that movie uninterrupted. After all that’s double income. You Pay for the service, and the sponsors pay them for the commercials.Amazon Prime video also tends to have the worst video quality out of all the popular video services that I’ve seen, and I’ve seen most. Pixelation and digital artifacts are a big problem, especially in older movies. It’s not my connection; I have gigabit internet. It’s not the video quality of the movies. I have seen most of them on other services. I won’t call this age discrimination, even though it might be interpreted as such. All in all, if they fixed the input bug, the hardware would be fantastic. The services are far too greedy, insisting that you pay to watch commercials.
