PERFECT for the Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, etc. + major budget steal
Needed a proper dock for my Steam Deck because I found myself docking it more often as time went on, and a standard MacBook USB Dongle wasn't cutting it. I also have a few gaming monitors dedicated for my tower and aforementioned dongle could not output more than 60hz refresh rate... it was time to buy this thing! And oh boy did it over and exceed expectation. Feels very sturdy, perfectly secure on my smooth glass table. The wire feels amazingly threaded for durability and can even dock a Nintendo Switch. I also experimented with laptops and phones... it also works flawlessly with those. The weight was reasonable and it's portable. The ethernet works phenomenally, as did the USB ports; and for the cherry on top, they even threw in a few thumb grips for my controller(s). Absolutely went out and beyond for its price PLUS I purchased this at a discounted price.Charging speed is dependent on the power adapter, so if you already own a Nintendo Switch one or something similar with Type-C USB, the setup is easy peasy. Can't get much better than that. 100% value and 100% recommendation to anyone owning the Steam Deck.

Excellent
This dock is a game-changer for the Ally. I just plug one USB-C cable from the Ally into the dock, and suddenly I have everything I need: The HDMI output works flawlessly to connect to my TV or monitor at high refresh rates, making games look fantastic on a bigger screen. I've got multiple USB-A ports for my mouse, keyboard, and even an external hard drive if I need more game storage. The build quality is solid, feels durable, and it's compact enough to throw into my bag with the Ally for travel. It handles the power passthrough to keep the Ally charged while docked, which is key.

Cable is fixed to dock
The body is made of aluminum, wich may scratch the plastic shell of the device set up, it has rubber to avoid this, feels very sturdy, the cable that connects to the device is fixed to the dock and may be damaged if transported poorly on a backpack or suitcase, connects easily and quick to the screen, the charger is very quick to charge, no complaints there, the whole docl is one full piece, static, no folding pieces or assembly needed

Affordability meets utility in a user friendly peripheral device
The USB cable that plugs into the device itself is quite nice, it is the perfect length not too short not too long and is made of a thick and pliable insulation material that feels like a soft rubber and seems to withstand abuse quite well. I did not originally have a power supply strong enough to do more than charge my MSI claw but once I upgraded to the appropriate power supply using my MSI claw to play games that favor keyboard and mouse or controller to the native controls is just as fun no matter where I go as long as I pack my accessories and dock. My handheld gaming device now feels like it truly is a fully capable portable Windows device that is more tailored to my needs than a laptop.

Nearly a year of use with no problems
I've been using this for almost a year with no problems. Mostly I use my steam deck like a console and this holds it even though I have a case on it. (since I drop stuff)

Rog Ally X use review - definite buy
If you’re a ROG Ally X owner and are worried about fit and cable length, there is no need to worry.I have a Dbrand Killswitch case. This dock fits my Ally X perfectly, while in case with enough space to not feel like anything is being damaged. In built cable length: most ally x owners know that bc the Thunderbolt port is all the way to the left, most docks won’t work. Again, this dock has just enough length to work perfectly. It’s snug but doesn’t seem like it’s putting pressure on the port. Also, I have a 100w Power going in, and the 30 watt turbo mode works flawlesslyOverall, I’m very glad I got this for my Ally X.

Solid dock
Nice construction on this build. Metal instead of plastic, sturdy and no fear of breaking it if I travel with it. Does not include an HDMI cable, so source one of those. Tried it with my ROG Ally, picture was great and sound was on par. 3 USB ports are great for the mouse and keyboard. PD is working and the Ally was charging as if it was plugged directly in. Worth the price for sure. Haven't used it with my Steam Deck just yet. That has it's own dock for now. My only complaint is no power button. This thing is always on. Don't leave your system plugged in, it will shorten the already low battery life of your Ally. Add a power button to switch it off and it's 5 stars for sure.Recommend without a doubt, just be aware of the one short coming.
