One of my kids is totally into decorating for holidays right now so I surprised them with this set of lights. I've done enough string lights now that I knew exactly how to open them. If you're having trouble with them tangling, here's what to do instead:They come packaged in kind of a fold back and forth. Identify one end of the string and hand it to a helper or hook it around something and then start walking away from it, carefully letting it come apart a little at a time and make sure it's high enough off the ground that the dangly lights dangle. Now that it's all spread out, most of the dangling parts will have just unhooked from each other as you opened it but any remaining ones are easy to see and just release where the point of the star caught.Okay, so that taken care of, here's my review of the stars. Every single one of them works. All the settings work. Which my child loves and I'll be happy when we can stop switching between them all the time, lol. There is a remote but if you lose it, no worries, you can just push the buttons and click through the options. The plug is a USB, which stumped me for a minute. But it was easy to just plug into one of those box things that plug into the wall. And I realized this means that I can also use it with one of our back up battery packs. So that's cool.The lights are bright enough to be visible during the day when hanging across a window and then they look really bright and pretty at night. This is the first time I got holiday lights for something other than Christmas but now I'm hooked. We also have a birthday party coming up and I found lights to go with that theme too. This one is decidedly red white and blue but for the price, it's worth it even for once a year. But then you add in Flag Day (which around here means flags for a couple weeks) and Veterans Day, and we'll have a reason to hang them several times a year.Tip for putting them away: fold up each of the dangly strings and hold it with a twisty tie then gently lay them in a small plastic bin with a lid so nothing gets put in and tangled with them.

These star lights are so pretty! They give a nice touch to one of our teens bedroom curtains. She loves moons and stars and she has so many hanging on her walls and for decor. So, these stars look lovely! I got the warm white, so they're not too bright but at the same time a decent brightness. They look beautiful during the night and make her room pop with that extra from these lights. They're really cute!

They are bright and long. They can spread our further than I have them here. They're actually doubled over. Great value for the money

Nice little stars that can be controlled from the USB plug which has a button switch or the included remote control. Has several flashing/pulsing options or steady on. The little stars are lovely and equally spaced and all work. I have numerous sets of curtain lights but I like that these are shorter so you can put them somewhere and not have them hanging down in the way.
