Very useful if you have two computers et. close together,as long as you don’t use them at the same time.

Straight up does not work. I bought this to split one cable into 2 connections but it doesn't work, no connection passes through.

The information by the seller reads as follows : Fine Design: Gold plated needle core, fixed RJ45 interface, solid mental shield and integrated mechanical welding, such compact design prevent damage and avoid the lack of network signals.This item does not have a gold pleated needle core, this item is no better than similar splitter's that are being sold online considerably less than this seller. In fact it didn't work at all. I think this is the first time I have had to return an item bought via amazon.

Item arrive fine, but just doesn't do what I was expecting. I used this to split the internet connection between my XBOX ONE & PS5. When only using the XBOX, with the other PS5 turned off. The connection being received was terrible and I couldn't play an online game. For example the download speed when using this splitter was 80.88, whereas without this splitter I was receiving 266.87. When I turned the XBOX off and tried turning the PS5 on to test the connection to that, the PS5 wasn't receiving a internet connection at all from the splitter. I tested the CAT 7 leads separately that I had bought new and rule that out as the fault as they both worked fine separately. From reading some of the earlier reviews they suggest this is fine for browsing the web one PC/Laptop at a time. But for online gaming this splitter is no good.
