This process may need to be repeated several times in order to sufficiently soften and released the scabs. Once this has been done, apply Coat Defense Paste to complete the healing process.

Yes, it will help heal the sores. But the only way to avoid them is to use shavings, add soft ground where your horse rolls and lays down or use hock socks. Otherwise, the sores will never heal and will only get worse.
