Great crusher, easy to install. Seems to be sturdy and does regular and tall cans.

I have crushed about 1500 cans with this thing now and it still looks and works like new. I oiled it ( Like you are told to do ) and it still works wonderfully. No bending like i have seen in other pictures. There is a bottle opener on the bottom of the can crusher and i NEVER use it. When looking at the pictures you can tell the ones that bent were being used as bottle openers. It does feel strong enough to open bottles for sure but i wouldnt use it for that. Just buy yourself a little bottle opener and mount it beside your "can crusher".

This gradget definitely works great we use it all the time and makes crushing our cans really easy. Its really sturdy. The install was really simple and easy just a few screws. However I had bought this one so it can also crush the 12oz cans since we go through those too. I tested it out before putting it up on the wall and it did hold the 12 oz but once on the wall the handle was unable to go far back enough to crush the 12oz cans. So id say if you want to crush the 12oz cand get a different one. But any other ones this is a really good gadget and we use it all the time.

The media could not be loaded. 5 months, 500+ cans and going strong. Simple design and adequate materials. For the price you can’t really beat it. Paint and rubber pads will wear off with use but that’s to be expected. That’s what you see on the trim under the crusher. Pieces of rubber and paint coming off after crushing A LOT of cans. It doesn’t bother me but something to consider. Rivet style pivot points are probably the weakness here. To avoid wear I have kept the slide and pivot points lubricated with a light weight oil. Everything seems good with the one I got. I expect to use it for years to come. If the pivot points do eventually fail from wear, I believe you could use some carriage bolt of the sorts with low clearance heads and rebuild it and probably use it for another 5-10 years.

Works perfect, strong and sturdy, I’m very happy with this purchase.

I will begin my review by saying that several months before making a move we purchased this same can crusher and really liked it. We wanted one for the new house and I did not realize that there would be much difference in a can crusher so just ordered one off of Amazon that had good ratings although there were not very many ratings. I knew right away when using it that I had not gotten the same one. The new one was clunky and not smooth. It also was designed in a way that it dug into our drywall on the back side of it when the handle came down. After 6 months of using this thing I went into my Amazon history to figure out what the old one was. It was a Home Buddy--so I immediately ordered another one.We were very pleased when we put it up. The smoothness and ease of crushing a can is completely different from the clunky thing we took down. This crusher is solid and the padded handle is comfortable and easy to push down. It is so well worth the price. We call it the Cadillac of can crushers. I highly recommend it. There really is a difference.

This thing works as advertised. Make sure you mount it securely. (I can;t imagine mounting it it drywall.) But, the long handle is very effective, and handles 12 & 16 oz cans with ease.
