Interesting these lights are specified to support 12 to 36 volts and AC or DC. I tried 12VDC and note the brightness is pretty low. Wires can be connected either polarity and still illuminate so I am thinking AC may be a little brighter and a 24VAC supply brighter still. Working through old computer adapters to find the right power - keep this in mind when buying! 12VDC is good for a very dim accent light. I will update with actual power consumption once I get this right. The 4.5 watt spec must be at 36v max, certainly much less at 12v.

Installed 15 of these lights over our outdoor seating space and what a difference they made! So happy with the quality and look of these lights. Throw the perfect amount of light - warm, inviting and functional. Could not be happier. Our electrician installed them with a dimmer switch so we can adjust the brightness as needed.

These tree lights are a great value for the money. They really are two types of outdoor lights in one product. First, they are twinkly elegant tree lights for ambiance and decoration IN YOUR TREES. The perforated holes in the fixtures accomplish this very nicely. Second, they are a DOWN LIGHT from your trees lighting the area or pathway below. And they work by connecting them easily to your 12V existing landscape lighting system. We ran a wire up the back of our tree, connected the lights serially to the wire, and it all worked perfectly as soon as the landscape lights turned on at dusk. They are truly beautiful, substantial, and lux looking quality.The chains are sturdy and long enough to drape around and within the branches of your trees. We separately bought 12” and 24” zip ties to secure wires to branches and had no problems securing and creatively installing the lights in the tree. When illuminated, the four of them throw a nice amount of light directly to the patio ground below. Love them!

I had these installed in my mesquite trees to illuminate my front yard. I bought 3 sets for the 3 trees. Great price, so having to buy 3 was less painless. Soon after installation we had a hellacious storm with wind, rain and substantial walnut sized hail. The mesquites were practically stripped bare, and because of the ferocious swinging from the strong winds, one of the fixtures came loose and fell from the tree onto the stone path below. I was not optimistic that it had survived, but lo and behold it was reattached to the hook and wire and it lit up just like before! I’m a believer in its quality and performance and recommend to anyone looking to buy attractive light fixtures for outdoor settings.

These are nice quality lights and well worth the price. For me they were easy to install. The light they throw is more narrow than I expected, but this due to the placement of the LED in the fixture, the “tube” of the fixture constrains the beam of light. At approx 6.5’ off of the ground the circle of light is approximately 52”. They look great. Tip: be sure to hang the light by the chain, not the cord. Also if you weave the cord through the chain on every link the chain will become stiff. Weave the cord through every 4th or 5th link, it still looks good.

Very nice lights- well built, bright, and come with the installation parts to make installation easy. I installed three of them in my gazebo over a dining area.I would have rated them 5 stars but the package was not new and had been opened. Two lights of the four were scratched, one didn't work, and some of the small parts were missing. Disappointing.
