Excellent charger! Best one yet!

Originally bought an energizer recharging station and from the first time using batteries would only last an 30 min to an hour. Ended up purchasing this product and using the same rechargeable c and d batteries noticed immense improvement! All batteries even directly off the energizer charger read low or no charge when installing on this product. After about 8 hours (charging 4 at a time) on this charger they have been in use for non stop in my kids bedside play light/music box and still have a full charge. I highly recommend this product and if ever need would purchase over and over again!

Universal and Works!

I am working to switch to rechargeable batteries. This seems to work just fine to charge batteries accept it does not indicate how charged 9V batteries are. Otherwise I used it for AAA to D and it worked fine. I have Amazon brand rechargeable batteries that I use with it. Recommend.

Good value

Rechargeable batteries are great for kids toys. The unit does seem to get warm, so I wouldn't leave it on while not home or sleeping, just in case. You can charge many sizes like AA, AAA and 9 volt. We haven't tried D or C yet.

Outstanding Customer Service and products!

I received a set of batteries and a charger that were not working. I contacted Customer Service, who offered to refund or replace the batteries and charger.I still wanted the product, so I opted for the replacement. What a difference the replacements made! I must have gotten a bad batch originally—it happens. The charger is great and can recharge and discharge the batteries. The lights are easy to know when the batteries are recharged and I love the options to recharge AAAs, AAs, Cs and 9-Volt batteries from the same charger. There are lots of differences between battery companies and EBL should be at the top of your list.

Good Product and company

With the price of everything going up I decided to invest into rechargeable batteries and charger. Works great and fast. The batteries do get warm to the touch as they are charging. Let the cool for a few minutes after charging.

Charged only partially; Random restarts on some slots; Batteries fit loosely.

Review of EBL model 906 AAA-AA-C-D Smart Charger08 Feb 2023Well...7000+ reviews and most good...so....I gave it a try. I placed it on my desk so I coul watch it whle I worked. The discharge/recharge conditioning routine takes too long for my desk work so I set it and went to bed.I am using Eneleoop regulars (white) that are only several months old. Those bateries work fine in my other chargers (Vanson and Tenergy and Panasonic). So, I figure they are okay to use to test the EBL 906.On my desk, I could see the EBL model 906 indicator segments for some slots would randomly blank out and then restart for that particular slot. During the charge cycle, the slots would sometimes stall on 1/3rd done for a long time then suddenly--bam--indicate ful charge. It should take about 3 to 4 hours to fully charge Eneloop AA's. It took about that long with the EBL 906...but...My best battery output test device is an old hand-held RCA digital television that runs on 4 AA batteries. I love that little thing and it consistently runs about 4 hours on 4 x AA Eneloop batteries. However, batteries charged with this EBL 906 only gave about 20 minutes then died.I ran the charge cycle again. Same behaviors and also the same very short power burst then dead.I set the EBL 906 for a full discharge/recharge cycle. About 4 hours later just before bed, it had been hanging on the first segment of discharge Oh wel...off to bed.Next day, the EBL 906 is shining brightly with all segments of the display proudly showing that the job is done. Put them in my TV and...drooop..totally exhausted after only about 20 minutes and not the usual 4 hours I expect with Eneloops. So...maybe I got a bad charger, I dont know.I have double-A and triple-A batteries. The AA's fit loosely in the EBL's slots. You have to be very careful to place each battery in the center of the too-wide groove so the battery has a chance to make decent connection with the + and - contacts. AAA's are really a sloppy fit. In addition, the springs of the contacts are really weak so that sometimes you have to give an extra push on the bottom contact to make connection then you have to be very careful not to move the charger even the slightest bit to avoid losing connection.I did like that there is no ac adapter. It uses a 110V cord.It advertises "super fast." Well, not really. It would take about 4 hours to charge AA's if it works as advertised...that's about par for charger performance. I have some old Ray-O-Vac chargers that will slam-bang a full charge in one-hour. That is what I'd call super fast. But I don't use them because they are harsh.So...7000 reviewers led me to take a chance. Maybe I got a bad one.I'm a little skeptical about EBL because of this experience and one other experience. I recentlyi bought a Streamlight that uses the super-tiny quadruple A batteries. I bought 4 of EBL's quadruple A batteries for it. EBL provides a charger model 807 that they will supply with the quad-A batteries and they claim the charger is compatible with the quadruple A battteries but it is not. The quad-A batteries are shorter than triple-A. and they just don't fit the 807 charger. On top of that...the EBL charger plainly states in silk-screened text right on the product that it is ONLY for AA and AAA. Quad-A's are not mentioned anywhere for the 807 product and the AAAA's just are too short to even fit in the 807 charger that EBL sells and specifies for the task. Maybe they expect us to form small aluminum foil balls to wedge between the short AAAA battery termals and the too-widely spaced EBL 807 contacts. I dunno. So, I am now skeptical of all EBL claims because of that experience as well. (Luckily, I have an old Vanson charger with spring-loaded contacts that will charge the quad-A batteries. It is designed for AAA-AA-C-D but now I find it does AAAA also--thank goodness.)EBL has a warranty if and only if you buy from their official web site. If, instead, you buy at Amazon, you have only Amazon's 30 day return to fall back on. Thank you, amazing Amazon.I may try EBL someday again....but not for a while. I'll keep watching, though, to see if I should jump in again...because I use a lot of rehargeable batteries.
