Universal ball and pin towing hitch coupling tow ball "E" approved 3500kg Pt no. LMX1727

Well made sturdy product would recommend, removed my old hitch and put this straight on……the only problem I had is in the photo there are 2 bolts showing, so I thought it comes with the coupling, but this one didn’t,no big issue to me as I have a great selection of odds n sods but to they who don’t beware!!But definitely worth the money

The hitch looks the part and was easy to fit, my only slight gripe is the supplied bolts were too short: they stopped with about 2-3 mm of unused nut on the outside, which didn't fill me with confidence considering the forces they were supposed to hold. I don't think the vehicle had an unusually thick mounting plate - it was quite a bit thinner than the flanges on the hitch - but I did put the bolts through the retaining rings on the two tethers (one each side, ~1mm) and through another thin plate that holds the wiring socket (again, about 1mm). If I'd left these out and tightened the nuts to the required torque, the bolts might just about have come flush with the outsides of the nuts, but even then I think longer bolts would have made more sense.In my case the above didn't matter much as I was replacing a ball hitch and re-used the old bolts. After the fun I had getting them off I was very glad of the new washers and nuts.For the (current) price, it would have been worth buying it plus an extra pair of bolts.Edit: After over a year and maybe 20 journeys with mostly 750kg trailers, the hitch itself is still going strong but the wire tethers have rusted off and the Q clip is rusty but useable. Hard to find an exact replacement for that one, but there are plenty of cheap 3.5 x 75 mm R clips on Amazon.

Excellent product, very well priced, meets all specification of a Dixon and Bate hitch but is half the price, would recommend it to anyone!!
