Yep, Silent Quality
Definitely recommend the HX over the RM series. It’s quiet and efficient. Solid unit. This was a replacement for an older HX series faulty unit which lasted 7 years. The fault was caused by my own error causing a surge and blowing a capacitor. So it probably would have run for another 7. The usb-c to 4 pin motherboard connector is a nice touch. I can monitor how the power is utilised for each component along with temperatures. Very cool.

Excellent psu.
Replaced my old corsair Ax860i psu which had been faultless and still working after 10+ years of service. But it will only last so long so replaced it before it died.Plenty of power for most applications, and you can see how much power is being drawn and used by the pc, I am not aware of other manufacturers having this capability. The IQ software enables you to control the fan and view all power/current on each line. Yes it is expensive but it is worth buying decent quality for an expensive pc, it's also competitive compared to others of similar quality. Corsair back this up with a decent warranty. And unlike the no name brands you will be able to contact them in 5 years time should something happen. One criticism is the screws holding the psu in are tiny, given the weight of modern psu's this method of fixing needs to be improved, I had the screws pop out during installation. Corsair aren't alone here as this is a standard atx style fixing that hasn't changed in many years. It's also quite big so make sure you have the room.

Powerful and robust with good quality cables that provide effective cable management
The power supply has a lot of power and is large but fits in well. The 1500 watt lead is different to standard (kettle) power cables and is more like one you might find on an oven I think which is presumably due to the increased power on this. It's good to have the additional power should it be needed but obviously if your device is idling it doesn't mean it will use any more power but the power is there when it is needed. The cables on this are a good design and not too bulky as they can be with some power supplies. One thing that caught me out was that there is some film over the logo on the side where the fan is which looks like it should peal off but I think perhaps it was meant to remain on as the logo lost its shine with it pealed off but then it was coming off a little already when unpacked so it was an easy mistake to make.

A good PSU that will protect itself and your pc hardware
Originally the power supply tripped the mains circuit breaker. The second you move the switch on the PSU to the on position the short circuit trips the household electricity breaker. Returned unit for refund. The replacement unit is faultless. Works perfectly. Very quiet, very powerful, very informative when using the IQue software and most of all very protection oriented. eg, any fault in the pc picked up via power lines will trigger the PSU to cut power, protecting everything.H O W E V E R :The first PSU some how was faulty - unusual for a Corsair product. The replacement PSU gave the impression that it could be faulty as it would repeatedly switch off and on and off etc until shutting off completely. This is plugged into a new system and there's no reason to suspect any fault with any part of the build, but it doesn't work. A whole day of trying different things did not have any effect. Eventually removing the Corsair PSU and fitting an older used psu. The older psu fired up and started the pc as expected. No issues. Therefore corsair must be faulty, except that it is not. Fitting the corsair to a different pc had no issues, worked first time - so there isn't a fault with the Corsair. This is where Corsairs own customer service could step in, but they are not very customer focused. To the point you even get ignored. The Corsair has USB link that allows the IQue software to monitor live and change any settings related to the PSU. I connected this USB cable to a laptop whilst using the PSU to power the desktop pc. This allowed me to see what was actually happening when trying to boot up the desktop pc. I could confirm that the psu was doing everything it was supposed to and was mearly responding to a shut down condition that was out of its control. All the currents and voltages etc were spot on.It turned out that an intermittent short in the wire for the reset button was causing the psu to restart, or eventually shut off. The older psu has no such protection and was able to sustain booting even with an iffy reset button. My point is that I had arranged a return of the Corsair to Amazon when it wasn't necessary and had Corsair had decent customer service they could have suggested the USB link right at the start, saving a lot of time and effort and cost to themselves on refunds. Hence not 5 stars even though the product does deserve it and I highly recommend it.

Reliable and well made
Been using this for a month or so 24/7 without issue. Runs silently even with some load. The cables seem well made and have a positive click on connection. Super efficient and fully modular. Getting additional cables was tricky, had to order some sleaved ones from Corsair which were costly. Probably not needed for a standard setup but I needed more SATA cables for a NAS.Probably about the right price for what it is.I though the built in USB was a bit of a gimmick at first, but my NAS can pick up the info so I can now see power draw, the rail voltages etc which has actually been quite handy.

Great PSU
Maybe the PSU was a bit of an overkill for me as I probably could've ran everything with a 850w PSU but I don't regret getting this one at all. Super quiet and a lot of PCIE connections for me to plug in everything. It also includes the 12VHPWR cable which is for the GPU which is really good!
