Excellent Ear buds
Sound quality is excellent. Noise cancelling is hit and miss. If you get a good ear seal then ANC is better. The xMEMS technology is amazing.

Amazing audio but there are some drawbacks
These provide sublime audio for the price. Detailed bass and quite a balanced neutral sound. Amazing separation and sound staging too. The audio input really makes a difference tho. I was originally using these with my oppo find X5 and thought they were decent but nothing great. I upgraded my phone shortly after however and the sound just turned into something else so the source seems to make a big difference.Onto the negatives. The touch controls are pretty janky and the noise cancelling is pretty useless when you're outside because if there's even the slightest bit of windyness you will hear it amplified. In those situations I just turn the ANC off.In short notice great for using on the go when it's windy but sound quality is where these really excel. Compatible to decent quality wired headphones. For the price I paid when I got them on black Friday was about £60 with a voucher they are 100% a 5 star. But if I'm being real. At anything above £100 id have to give it 4 because you're going to be using wireless headphones on the go and it doesn't excel there.

Creative at its best
I've gone through countless earbuds, but the Creatives are in a league of their own. Maybe it's a touch of nostalgia for their Sound Blaster days, or maybe they just fit my listening style perfectly. Either way, I love them!

Generally Good, But No Bass Without ANC
It was hard to know how to rate these as overall they aren't bad - connectivity is great in terms of codecs, overall sound is OK, but they have one major flaw which people should be aware of. Basically there's almost zero bass unless you turn on ANC, then magically the bass appears. This is obviously an issue if you don't want/need ANC (e.g. for battery reasons) or want to use the pass-through mode. Also the case is a pain to use, the headphones feel like they have to go in back-to-front and it doesn't balance at all. Not a major issue but still frustrating.

A swing and a miss.
The sound quality is OK, you can hear the Xmems technology and it does make a difference in the middle frequency range, it really helps the instruments come through when you are listening and there is great clarity and precision of sound in the bits of the frequency managed by the Xmems hardware. The battery life is OK, comfort and fit is again OK, nothing special, just OK.That is about all I can say of a positive nature about this product, there are glaring issues with these earbuds. The touch controls are appalling, they are very unresponsive and you frequently have to try at least two or three times, to get any sort of response to a request to pause a track or increase the volume, which is highly frustrating. There is no in ear detection capability to these buds, and they don't pause when you remove them. If you take them out to listen to what someone is saying to you and hold them in your hand, you get terrible screeching feedback from them. The app is just useless, you have to download it to update the firmware, beyond that I wouldn't bother with it, it frequently fails to recognise when you are using the earbuds. As the physical controls are poor on the buds you may think you can use the app to control the buds, you can't, in any practical sense because the app is useless. The case is alright to look at and delivers a fairly rapid charge, but is is only good for around two to three charges. Worse when you place the earbuds back in the case they frequently fail to disconnect, which is very annoying, it takes several attempts at placing them back in the case before they will disconnect, if you don't notice they haven't disconnected you obviously end up missing messages and calls as the notification noises go to buds. The ANC is pretty meh, it takes away some of the background noise, but by no means all, it works fine if you are sat in a quiet room, in pretty much any environment beyond that you will get background noise. In terms of using them outside my strong advice is not to bother, you will get an appalling amount of wind noise in anything other than the slightest breeze, you can't drown it out even at maximum volume, road noise etc will be audible even walking along side quiet roads with cars driving slowly by, along side busy roads I just wouldn't bother. I tried replacing the in ear tips with a premium after market silicon and foam alternative to reduce the ANC issues and wind noise issues, it made basically no difference. My main experience when using these buds is frustration, they are extremely annoying to use and live with on a day to day basis. For the price of £150 they are vastly overpriced, pick an alternative, even at £100, I wouldn't buy them, get almost any equivalent alternative to these buds and you will get more features, with less issues and a better all round soundscape. The Sony Linkbuds S or Bose Quiet Comfort 2, or some of the Beats stuff is of a similar price, but of a much better quality. The Xmems sound is very good and I'd be genuinely interested in what say Sony or Bose could do with that technology, in terms of integrating it into their soundscapes and premium products, what Creative have done with it is pack in into a genuinely bad product, so you can't really enjoy it.

Avoid for a number of reasons.
I bought these direct from Creative when they came out, so have now had them nearly 10 months.Sound isn't bad, although there are only 3 sizes of tips provided, and I can't say there's a good size fit in the box for me.Why only 2 stars?Ambient mode is unusable. There's a constant background hiss which is really annoying. ANC doesn't deal with wind at all, so not great for outdoors. This just leaves normal listening, which isn't what's advertised.Touch controls are challenging. 2 taps should pause play, but often skips to next track, or does nothing. 3 taps should skip, but often does nothing, or pauses play. You'd think after 10 months I'd have got better at using the touch controls, but sadly not the case.Have now started to disconnect from sources randomly. (Particularly the tv.) Often running out of charge despite being in the case overnight and plugged in. (Cleaning the contacts has made no difference.)Often STAY connected to my phone when put back into the case, which means attempting to watch something on the phone requires disconnecting manually from the bluetooth. Great once you realise what's happening, but frustrating when you don't. I should point out that this is also random, as sometimes WILL disconnect when put back in case.Periodically, when connecting, there's an unacceptable amount of "crackling" when playing music from my phone. Putting the earpieces back in the case, then taking them out again immediately seems to solve this. Weird, and I can't think of a reason why it should happen. So I can't recommend them. Very disappointing overall, even if they sound quite good when they're actually working.
