Good and effective: Runs small
These gloves give you great protection and an excellent grip. They do run a little small, however, and even though my hands are not exactly Andre the Giant, the extra large felt pretty snug fit. Perhaps being that way is part of the protection, but be forewarned if you do have large hands.

These are the best gloves hand's down. Especially for doing Yard work the stay put on your hands and are protective of your hands. Love them.

Tiny splinters in the fibers!
The gloves fit well,and we're exactly the strength and protection I wanted, but both gloves had some type of small splinters in the fibers inside the gloves. I pulled two out of my hand after putting one glove on, and had to be careful with the other one, turning it inside out to feel for the pointy fibers/splinters before I could use the gloves safely. Never had that happen before! It wasn't wood splinters but some type of hard pointed fibers. Frustrating to have to search for them and remove them from my hand and gloves before I could use the gloves.
