CISSP All-in-One Exam Guide, Eighth Edition

This study guide is a great resource to walkthrough the certification exam.. helps reader become proficient in the material.

I read the book in two weeks. I don't really recommend doing that, but it worked for me. Those two weeks were a part of the six months I used to study. The questions online are well worth the price alone. If you read this book, understand it, love it, take the online test questions, you'll probably be fine on the test. Also, look for Shon's YouTube videos. She was a fantastic instructor, and even though the videos are dated, hearing her explain concepts and tell the occasional story is priceless. Thanks Shon - RIP.

I was struggling with the domain 4 of CISSP syllabus and didn't want to blindly memorize the terminology. This book was perfect for me even though other readers might find it wordy. I didn't have much knowledge of networking as I specialized in IT GRC and the detailed explanations helped me understand the domain without having to memorize blindly. The explanations are also easy to understand for people without non-technical, hands on networking experience. I will still keep this book for on the job reference!

This is the 8th edition from 2018!Anyone studying for the CISSP exam should buy the 9th edition released in Nov 2021. Ok as a reference guide but not for studying. Not sure why Amazon would still be selling this book.There are some fairly significant updates in the 9th edition. It could mean passing or failing the exam!

I read the Sybex book and this Shon Harris book and found that the Shon Harris book was much better as a study guide. More readable and great at providing examples and diagrams to make sure you have the concepts. This book goes deeper than what you need for the test but you will have a better understanding of the concepts which is really the most important part of this. I passed my test on the first attempt but have had 8 years experience in the field as well.

The CISSP All-in-One Exam guide, Eighth Edition delves into every topic needed to pass the exam in detail. The guide does an exceptional job on making sure the reader understands each topic and targets the material in different ways throughout to ensure understanding. I would recommend this book as a necessity when going after your CISSP.

It's a comprehensive book to understand various security domains. The best thing is that book explains the concepts using common use examples so that one can grasp the concept easily. The practice questions in book and online provide good measurement of understanding. I will recommend that whoever interested in security must read this book, irrespective of whether appearing for CISSP or not ?

I am planning to take the CISSP certification exam sometime in the future, but I do want to be prepared. I have heard a lot about this particular book so wanted to get this book. In my opinion various domains covered by the exam are well explained and the book itself is very well written.
